The Shuttleworth Collection is the finest collection of vintage aircraft in UK. Nicely presented . AND most of the exhibits fly. Excellent day out.

The location is beautiful. The events are letting it down. Used to be a lovely calm environment to watch amazing pieces of engineer and history from the beginnings of transportation and aviation. Since being run by the new management (I have been informed they were in charge of Duxford aerodrome which they also destroyed the atmosphere of) it has become more and more like visiting a tourist attraction and not a good one. I will continue to go at this time just to try to help maintain the restoration and conservation of the historical vehicles. Also the litter is quite distressing as the public used to take pride in the venue and now it's just another money making enterprise with limited care taken or consideration given.

We went for the Christmas lights which was actually ok and we mostly had a nice evening. We had some drinks and food at the cafe which were fine. We had an unpleasant incident towards the end of the evening whereby one of the members of staff started shouting at one of the children in our group for no apparent reason and then was quite rude to us. A few other families had the same issue. Most of the other members of staff were nice though so it’s a shame that one crabby person behaved that way. A few days later I contacted Shuttleworth to let them know as I think it’s poor form to bully children. I didn’t get a response from them so they obviously think that it’s ok for their staff to behave that way. I wouldn’t want to go back with any children in the group as it isn’t a family friendly place.

Came here to see the lights this winter and was really pleased. There was a lovely route around the garden, which was all light up. If you compare it to one of the larger light displays, you may be disappointed, but if you realise that it's all done in-house, it looks amazing! It was lovely and peaceful when we went around with lots of time to view the lights. They also had the hangers light up, which looked amazing.

Very disappointed. Terrible customer service. Booked an event and accidentally booked twice. Contacted them multiple times over a week and even called. Finally there responded and said they wouldn’t refund one booking and said i could gift the tickets. problem is that they realised on the day of the tickets (only 45 min from our slot) so I wouldn’t be able to gift them to anyone.

Just a fantastic close up place with Race Cars, aeroplanes that still fly, huge aero engines that have evolved through the years and lovely people who run the place. Both Shuttleworth and Brooklands have unique places in my heart, and the two are so different, but paint contrasting pictures about aviation particularly.

Such an amazing collection which has improved so much in the 10 years since I last visited. 6 Hangers packed full of historic aircraft. Swiss gardens are worth visiting too. Cafe/restaurant has a good selection of food with a roast lunch available on a Sunday. Plenty of parking, clean toilets. Ernest was a mine of information and we could have listened to him all day. Recommended.

Absolutely beautiful grounds with a variety of things to see and do for everyone. The Collection is my favourite, with a wide range of early experimental aircraft right through to racing aircraft! It's all well laid out and great for both children and adults alike. The airshows and flying events are always good fun and exciting to watch in the summer months. The Swiss Gardens are also lovely if you want to have some peace and quiet, with lots of wildlife and plants and also some small landmarks to explore. The site also has a cafe and shop. The cafe is nice with lovely food and drink. But as is the case with museums, it is on the slightly pricey side.

Lovely place to visit but the layout is a bit confusing. It would be easier if they had an exit at the end of the hangars, instead of having to walk back through each one. Playground is lovely and the gardens are beautiful. Cafe is nice but a little bit pricey. Overall, a nice day out for the family.
